About Me

Welcome! I'm Whitney Davis. I am a Yoga teacher based in Lakeland Florida. I came to the practice of Yoga in 2008 during my freshmen year of college. I found myself not only reaping the physical benefits of Yoga, but also the mental and emotional benefits as well. In 2013 I graduated with a Master's in Social Work and in 2015, I completed my RYT-200 at Yoga Pointe in Lakeland Florida. I have experience teaching various yoga styles including: Beginner, Hatha, Hot yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Yin and seated meditation. I believe in living a life full of joy, gratitude, humility, and free of judgement. These feelings inform and guide my teaching and practice, which is focused on helping my students better connect to themselves and with their surroundings.   I currently teach various group and private yoga classes at Yoga Pointe. Off the mat, I'm a self-proclaimed travel junkie and can usually be found spending time with my husband and two cats.

Hot Yoga

Strength and Healing

A style of yoga performed in hot and humid conditions typically in 100-106 degrees. Practicing in a heated room helps to allow the body to stretch, detoxify, relieve stress, tone, and heal chronic pain such as arthritis, joint aches, knee injuries, back problems and more. Bring a towel and water!

Vinyasa Yoga

Flow of movement

Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement," and Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa yoga helps build and maintain strong bones, muscles and connective tissue to maintain a high metabolism, healthy posture, and an active and alive body.

Yin Yoga

Stretch and Rejuvenate

Yin Yoga is a quiet and simple practice. Yin yoga works deeply into our body, targeting our deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues — ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body — rather than the muscles. It is a fantastic practice for athletes and all yoga students.
